What is a Brasserie?

At the heart of French home cooking is the brasserie, a beloved institution that serves up delicious and unpretentious home-style food. The word "brasserie" comes from the word “brewery” which referred initially to eateries in the Alsace region. And with our class, you'll learn to cook like a brasserie chef, using only the finest seasonal ingredients to create succulent dishes that capture the essence of French regional cuisine.
